Henry A. “Andy” Pool, M.D.
Carolina Neurosurgery, P.A.
Dr. Pool was raised in Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, Missouri. Dr. Pool served his internship in general surgery in the Department of Surgery, University of Missouri Columbia Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. His residency was at the Department of Neurosurgery, Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Pool is the author of several abstracts, articles, and book chapters. He is a member of the Greater Greensboro Society of Medicine, North Carolina Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Pool also serves on numerous committees at Moses Cone Health Systems and is presently chief of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Pool has been in practice in Greensboro since joining what is now Carolina Neurosurgery, P.A. in 1997. Dr. Pool earned his certification with the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 2001. His surgical interests include general neurosurgery with emphasis on spinal surgery, including all forms of instrumentation.
Dr. Pool's non-professional interests are varied. He is married and has four children.

|Dr. Pool came to Carolina Neurosurgery, P.A. in 1997. Dr. Pool graduated from the University of Missouri in 1991. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.
